Dr. Megan Parks, DC, CFMP

Dr. Megan Parks is a Defiance, Ohio–native chiropractor, graduating from Tinora, she brings over 17 years of experience integrating chiropractic care and functional medicine to help patients achieve lasting wellness. Her background includes being a pharmacy intern, advanced certifications in OB/Pediatrics, Webster Certification, and Functional Medicine certification. Recognized with the 4 Under 40 Award, Dr. Parks is known for leadership, innovation, and community involvement. Passionate about holistic, evidence-based care, she empowers patients to reduce reliance on medications, optimize health, and live active, fulfilling lives while serving her patients with heart and purpose.

Dr. John Kaufman, DC

Dr. John Kaufman hails from nearby Miller City, Ohio, and pursued his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Defiance College. He went on to earn his Doctorate from the National University of Health Sciences.

He is committed to providing exceptional care with a personalized, hands-on approach. Raised in a large family with seven siblings and twenty nieces and nephews, he understands the importance of empathy, communication, and genuine connection—values that carry over into his work with patients every day.

Dr. John is trained in a variety of adjustment technique as well as dry needling, enabling him to create customized treatment plans that address both pain relief and long-term wellness. His goal is not only to treat symptoms, but to help patients move better, feel better, and return to doing what they love with confidence.

Dr. Brent Heitmeyer, DC

Originally from Kalida, Ohio, Dr. Brent Heitmeyer graduated with honors from Kalida High School before attending Bowling Green State University. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2016 and returned to the area to help residents of Defiance and the surrounding Northwest Ohio counties live pain-free lives.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find him enjoying the local outdoors—hunting, fishing, or golfing at one of our area’s courses.
