What made you want to be a PA? ‘I have always been amazed by all of the processes and capabilities of the human body. While in college I shadowed a PA and got to experience the role of a PA in the healthcare team. That experience changed my whole direction. I love the patient-focused philosophy we learned in PA school. I’m not the boss telling patients what to do, I get to partner with them and tailor their treatment to fit their life. ‘

What made you want to join this clinic? ‘I love that we treat pain without harmful or dangerous side effects. Working in psychiatry I witnessed the devastating effects of opiates and over-medication on the lives of my patients and their loved ones. It is so rewarding to celebrate our patients’ wins and see their lives improve. Our team has the same mission, and we all love what we do!’

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? ‘I enjoy spending time with my husband Thane and our families. I also enjoy painting, traveling and practicing yoga.

What made you want to become a chiropractor? ‘I’ve gone since I was a little kid & always loved how it made me feel. Also, I’ve never been a big pill person, & after working in the pharmacy & seeing a patient in his late 20’s/early 30’s on SEVEN meds, I asked what was wrong with him. The pharmacist said, ‘The sad part is he needs 2, but is taking the other 5 to counter-act the side effects.’ That’s when I said that there has to be something better than this.’

What made you want to start a new clinic? ‘It was never my original plan, but I truly wanted to help people. I decided to stay in Defiance & help the people where I grew up & be able to give back to them.’

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I like most things outdoors. I also enjoy crafts & reading. There really isn’t too many things I don’t enjoy doing.’
